The Acoustic Plan Sitar is one of the best integrated amplifiers in the world, if not the very best. This little powerhouse may only deliver 2 x 40 watts, but it doesn't sound like it. We have yet to come across faster, more open-sounding and purer integrated amplifiers. The Nagra Classic Integrated might possibly go a step further, but we don't know many others that can do this. The Acoustic Plan Sitar is also a special amplifier. The construction is truly minimalist. 5 Line inputs, unbalanced, and 1 Line output, for example for a subwoofer. The complete linestage is equipped with Triode tubes. The output stage itself consists of only 2 high power Mosfets per channel. No rows of transistors that can blur the image. Enormous purity and sonic authenticity are the result. The Acoustic Plan Sitar comes standard with Line inputs only, but this Sitar has the excellent and expensive Phono MM/MC tube preamplifier built-in, and the optional remote control is also present. This tube front-end is also of excellent quality, and truly built for reference-class turntables. The power supply of the Sitar is also excellent, heavily built and housed in an external enclosure to avoid interference. We have had the Acoustic Plan Sitar play with various speakers, including the demanding Magico V3/S3 (Low efficiency, difficult impedance) and the result was "stunning" as the English so aptly put it. This Acoustic Plan is in exceptionally fine condition and is supplied with remote control and 6 months warranty.
