EN.
General : The AudioQuest Earth was AudioQuest's most expensive analog interlink with copper conductors. All cables priced above the AudioQuest Earth segment feature conductors made of silver. The AudioQuest Earth features AudioQuest's patented 72V DBS system, which provides active shielding and smooth signal transmission. The conductors are made of solid PSC+ copper, an extremely pure copper type from AudioQuest for optimal signal transmission. The dielectric consists of FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) air tubes, which prevent the internal conductors from interfering with each other through self-inductance. The shielding consists of multi-layer carbon fiber, which has excellent shielding properties. All in all, the AudioQuest Earth is a high-quality interlink with a good price-to-quality ratio.
Sound Characteristics : The AudioQuest Earth has a very balanced sound. The cable is inherently neutral, meaning it doesn't add coloration to the sound. Yet the sound is also full-bodied with slight warm undertones. The bass is full and has plenty of body but doesn't dominate. The midrange and treble are transparent and refined. The AudioQuest Earth never sounds harsh, but never dull either. As mentioned before: a very balanced sound. This ensures that the AudioQuest Earth can be used in many systems and matches easily with many brands and types of equipment. The AudioQuest Earth sounds slightly more refined and less prominent (in a positive sense) than the lower-priced AudioQuest Water thanks to its superior dielectric and thicker shielding.
Ohm-Audio B.V. is an official AudioQuest dealer; the cables come from AudioQuest Netherlands. Feel free to ask for a quote or a trade-in offer for your old cables.
