Thanks to the passive radiator on the back of the speakers, the bass goes much deeper than you would expect from a speaker of this size. Yet the bass remains musical and never exaggerated; the overall tonal balance and harmony play the main role in the tuning of the Buchardt S400 MK2, and not just pumped-up bass for effect.
