General : The 801 D4 is the absolute reference speaker from Bowers & Wilkins. The B&W 801 D4 offers beautiful, musical, realistic and precise sound reproduction with an unmistakable luxurious appearance. High-end craftsmanship at its finest.

Technology : In designing the B&W 801 D4, every effort was made to create the most perfect speaker possible. In addition to meticulous attention to detail and a frequency range of 13Hz to 35Khz (!), a number of noteworthy techniques have been applied. The 6" midrange driver is housed in B&W's signature Turbinehead, which dampens resonances. Mounted on top of the speaker is the beautiful 1" Diamond dome tweeter. The midrange driver is also decoupled from the bass and tweeter enclosure and features biometric suspension to reduce disturbing air pressure and keep the sound clean. The main compartment of the 801 D4 is designed according to the new Matrix Design, where individual panels interlock and are then reinforced with aluminum. The result is an incredibly rigid cabinet that resonates significantly less than its predecessors. The two 10" Aerofoil bass units are mounted on solid aluminum bass pods which are then firmly secured to the cabinet. This gives the bass units a perfect rigid foundation, resulting in detailed and tight bass. The entire speaker rests on a solid aluminum plinth with a steel damping layer. This makes the B&W 801 D4 stand as solid as a rock.

Listening : The B&W 801 D4 is designed to impress and bring out the best in a recording. And it certainly does—the B&W 801 D4 impresses not only with its looks. Neutral, dynamic, honest, clean and pleasant are words that describe the B&W 801 D4. The aforementioned techniques prove their worth, and you will notice it. There are few speakers that allow you to look so deep into a recording as this one. Despite all this spectacle, you can comfortably listen to the 801 D4 for hours, likely also due to its distortion-free character. Pure music, and nothing else.

This set is in absolute like-new condition, is less than a year old, and is delivered with all its accessories in original packaging.
