General : Versatile digital music server/streamer from Cocktail Audio. Complete with built-in CD transport for playing or ripping CDs. The Cocktail Audio X50D also offers space for 2 hard drives HDD or SSD up to 6TB (so up to 12TB combined) for music storage.

Connections : The Cocktail Audio X50D features many digital outputs. There are 2 Coax RCA outputs, a Toslink optical output, an AES/EBU XLR output, a USB output and no less than 2 I²S (via HDMI and RJ45) outputs. Plenty of connections to connect it to virtually any DAC in the world. It also has an HDMI output that you can connect to a display, should you find the display on the front of the device too small. There is also a Word Clock connection and 2 digital inputs, a Coax RCA and Toslink optical input. USB drives can also be connected, with 2 inputs available for this purpose. Finally, an antenna can be connected for DAB+ or FM radio reception.

Usage : You can access the Cocktail Audio X50D in multiple ways. There is the Music X NEO application for smartphones and tablets. Additionally, the Cocktail Audio X50D can be used with Apple Airplay, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and as a cherry on top, the X50D can also be used as a Roon Ready player. The Cocktail Audio X50D supports Tidal (MQA), Qobuz, Deezer, Napster, Spotify, Amazon Music, HighResAudio and Apple Music. Besides the antenna for DAB+ and FM, you can of course also play internet radio via Airable (TuneIn).

Listening : The Cocktail Audio X50D has an honest, neutral and detailed sound. It doesn't hide details and doesn't add unnecessary spectacle. The sound is simply as it should be, nothing more and nothing less. Digital harshness is not present, the listening experience is simply pleasant and complete. The tonal balance is also very good, the bass doesn't dominate and sounds uncolored, the midrange and treble fit nicely into the whole, making the sound and spatial imaging a nice homogeneous whole.

This Cocktail Audio X50D is in like-new condition and comes with the original box and accessories.
