The EMM Labs DCC2 SE is an upsampling DA Converter and Analog preamp in one. The DAC is a discrete DAC, a proprietary development of EMMLABS. It upsamples all digital inputs to 384KHz. The discrete DAC from EMM Labs is of truly outstanding quality. This DCC2 SE (Not to be confused with the standard DCC2) features the discrete MDAT DAC from Ed Meitner and can easily compete with a DCS Puccini. All signals from 16bit/44KHz – 24Bit/96KHz are converted with ultra precision. This DCC2 SE features all standard digital inputs. Built into this DAC is an analog preamp of very high quality. Volume control is performed in the analog domain, so the digital resolution is always 100%, which is always better than digital volume control. The analog preamp has XLR balanced and RCA inputs. The circuit boards are made from the latest generation Composite Laminate board. Extremely expensive, but very good, and clearly audible in quality. The Meitner DAC MA-1 does not have these circuit boards. A beautiful aluminum remote control is included. This EMM Labs DCC2 SE is like new and completely original.
