General : The Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 powercord is the entry-level model in Gigawatt's high-end handcrafted LS series. The MK3 versions were manufactured until 2016, when they were replaced by the MK3+ series due to a change in the copper formula. The Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 features triple shielding, with the inner shield connected to ground, providing superior shielding that actively rejects electromagnetic interference. The Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 is equipped with high-quality gold-plated connectors. This premium power cord is ideal for high-quality Hi-Fi and high-end installations. The Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 can be used for both digital and analog equipment as well as high-current devices such as amplifiers or active speakers/subwoofers. Power strips and power conditioners also perform excellently with this LC-3 MK3 cable.

Technical Details : The conductors of the Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 each consist of 3 solid-core 1.5mm2 copper wires for a total cross-sectional area of 4.5mm2 per conductor. This makes the Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 rather stiff, but very suitable for carrying current as freely as possible and delivering unrestricted sound. The wire insulation is made of polyethylene. Around the conductors is a layer of aluminum connected to a tinned wire that runs through the entire cable and is connected to ground to make the shielding active. The insulation jacket of the entire cable is made of PVC. Finally, the cable is finished with a plastic woven protective sheath. Special attention has been paid to keeping the conductors vibration-free. They are therefore wrapped in a resonance-damping layer.
