The Gigawatt PF-1 EVO is the latest, modified version of the basic filter strip, designed for power distribution and protection of high-quality audio and video systems. The key improvement of the PF-1 EVO is internal wiring based on Gigawatt Powerlink OFHC copper wire with a cross-section of 4 mm2. Furthermore, the techniques of the filters and their components have been improved.

The PF-1 EVO is a special product in the Gigawatt range, as it surprises with its solid construction and quality of finish, and, for such an affordable price, has an extremely positive effect on the sound quality of the connected system, and your TV screen or Beamer also benefits greatly from this Powerstrip. The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo is made from high-quality components. The distortion in the power is filtered in an RLC filter block. This is built with low-inductance metallized polyester capacitors and an IP core (iron powder). All filter components are soldered to a solid PCB with large trace cross-sections, and Gigawatt uses silver solder.
The Gigawatt PF-1 Evo has also dispensed with the use of traditional protective elements, such as wire or thermal fuses, which restrict free current to the protected circuits and thereby have a negative effect on the sound. Protection against overvoltage and current spikes is guaranteed by a multi-stage protection circuit consisting of a new generation of UltraMOV varistors. These elements, working together with a well-designed, modern power grid, guarantee comprehensive protection against overcurrent and overvoltage.

The PF-1 EVO uses an innovative ​​distribution system, an in-house development of the company. It is based on solid, pure copper distribution bars of the 2nd generation, made from highly pure polished copper. This system distributes the power directly to each pair of outlets using a crimped connection which is fastened with the Gigawatt PowerLink internal wiring. The internal wiring is OFHC copper with a cross-section of 4mm2. The use of star wiring and the high conductivity and solid cross-section of approximately 30 mm2 of each of the distribution bars guarantees equal and stable power distribution, regardless of the load on the outlets of a strip.
The PF-1 EVO power strip is equipped with six high-quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko sockets, which are designed and manufactured by Gigawatt itself. The brass connectors of the G-040 sockets are silver-plated at the factory without the use of intermediate metals such as copper or nickel, which could introduce unfavorable series resistance and voltage loss. The larger contact surface and thick layer of silver ensure excellent contact with the pins of the connected plug. The Gigawatt G-040s are also subject to cryogenic modification and a demagnetization process. For safety, the G-040 contact sockets are equipped with integrated anti-insertion protection (increased protection against contact, compliant with VDE 0620).

The solid and durable chassis of the strip is made of metal. This creates perfect shielding that protects the filters and power distribution system against RFI noise. The power strip is also equipped with a good LED power indicator function for indicating power at the outlets.

The strip is also equipped with a high-quality IEC connector, allowing the user to connect any power cable. The power strip comes standard with the LC-1 EVO power cable with a length of 1.5 m. To fully utilize the maximum potential of the PF-1 EVO, we recommend using the LC-2 EVO power cable.
