General : Gigawatt Powerprime is the most affordable model of the Gigawatt power conditioners. The Gigawatt Powerprime offers effective protection against power surges and simultaneously delivers clean, well-filtered power to your equipment. This makes the Gigawatt Powerprime an essential component of any audio system.

Construction : All elements of the Gigawatt Powerprime are mounted in a new, rigid steel / aluminum chassis with a modular structure. The enclosure stands on anti-vibration feet, which ensure that the Gigawatt Powerprime is not affected by vibrations and resonances. The new front panel design is made from a thick piece of aircraft aluminum, whose surface is anodized after precise milling.

Connections : The Gigawatt Powerprime also indicates with an LED light when it is not properly phase-connected or without grounding. The Gigawatt Powerprime is equipped with six outlets, distributed across 3 zones, with connectors that are silver-plated without the use of intermediate metals such as copper or nickel layers, which can cause harmful series resistance and thus reduce voltage. A strong, stable connection, larger contact surface, and a thick layer of silver guarantee perfect contact with the plug pins. Furthermore, the contact sockets are cryogenically treated and demagnetized.

Protection : The Gigawatt Powerprime does not have traditional safety elements, such as fuses, which slow down the free flow of current and have a negative effect on sound quality. Overvoltage protection is achieved through a safety block integrated in the filter, equipped with plasma spark gaps and a new generation UltraMOV varistors. This method of protection minimally restricts current flow and still provides good protection for both the Gigawatt Powerprime itself and the equipment connected to the Gigawatt.

Internal Wiring : All electronic components of the filter are mounted with silver solder on PCBs with extremely wide conductive traces made of pure copper (total thickness of conductive layers is no less than 70 micrometers). Due to the short connections and a very large cross-section of the signal paths, the transition resistance is reduced and the current capacity of the entire filter is significantly increased. The internal wiring is based on Gigawatt power cords made of OHFC copper with a cross-section of 4mm2. There are also large, pure distribution bars built in. The large cross-section of each distribution rail (30QMM) and the high wiring conductivity guarantee an even and stable distribution of power to each output connection - regardless of the load on the other outputs of the Powerprime.

Buffers : The device uses a buffer system with a Gigawatt Audio Grade compensation battery, which increases power efficiency with non-linear loads, such as power amplifiers, and reduces the difference between input and output power of the power conditioner. This enables almost unlimited impulse capability, unprecedented in other similar passive conditioners and unreachable for active power managers.
