The Kef Model Four is a large 4-way loudspeaker with a very distinctive bass system and a Uni-Q midrange/tweeter driver. Both bass units are built into the cabinet and each has its own sealed enclosure. Connected together by a heavy rod, the two bass units produce very deep and pure bass reproduction, absolutely without any boom. The midrange is open and calm, the treble output is silky soft and sparkling thanks to the beautiful Uni-Q unit with silk dome tweeter. Thanks to the Uni-Q unit, the soundstage is very large and precise throughout the room. The lower midrange is handled by 2 identical polypropylene units. The Kef Model Four sounds grand and can play very loud and deep. But even at lower volumes, the Kef Model Four sounds clear and refined.
