General : The smallest Magico speaker to date, but a very fine Magico!

Technology : The Magico A1 is a compact but very heavy speaker. The A1 is entirely made of special aluminum, 6061 Airgrade, and they weigh well over 20kg each. A new woofer was developed for the A1 by Magico. The large Titanium voice coil and dual magnet provide excellent speed, power, strength and finesse. The tweeter is the same large Beryllium tweeter from the A3. The crossover is built with only high-quality premium components. The Magico A1 is the little brother of the Magico Q1 but sonically comes very close to the Q1.

Listening : The Magico A1 is clearly a very fast speaker. It sounds very open, pure and precise. The bass response is very precise and extends down to around 35Hz. Thoroughly impressive. The dynamics are also very good with the A1. Everything is crystal clear and very articulate. Tonal colors reveal themselves immediately with the Magico A1. As is often the case with monitor speakers, the spatial imaging is also very beautiful and very good. It just works perfectly. The Magico A1 is one of the finest speakers in this segment.
