General : The Magnepan MG.7 is the second smallest full range speaker from Magnepan, and it is a beauty.

Technology : The Magnepan MG.7 is a very musical planar dipole speaker. The MG.7 is a perfect example of high-end reproduction with an extremely good price-to-quality ratio. Where dynamic speakers move air with cones and domes, the Magnepan MG.7 moves air across a large surface area. It is a 2-way quasi ribbon. Similar technology to electrostatic transducers, but without the associated electronics such as high voltage modules and power supplies. In the MG.7, the voice coil runs through the foil, and this foil is driven directly by it.

Listening : The remarkable thing about the Magnepan MG.7 is its extremely neutral, pure reproduction, which "ordinary" speakers in this price range simply cannot achieve. The MG.7 is relatively large, 127cm high and 42cm wide, but only 4cm deep, and due to its light weight, they are easy to move. Optimally, you place the Magnepan MG.7 50cm-100cm from the wall, and after listening you can simply slide the MG.7 back against the wall if desired. Once accustomed to the distortion-free sound, it is difficult to go back to ordinary dynamic speakers. This set of Magnepan MG.7 is 2.5 years old and was supplied by us to the first owner; this set also comes with the original packaging and accessories.
