The Sonus Faber Amati Palladio is the rarest Amati on the market. To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the renowned architect Andrea Palladio, Sonus Faber created 50 special Amati Anniversario sets. This is number 49/50. The difference from the standard Amati Anniversario is clearly evident. The cabinet is made from Maple, the internal wiring uses palladium-coated cables, and the speaker connections are rhodium-plated. The Amati Palladio is a 3-way loudspeaker system featuring the finest components. A 25mm ultra-linear ring radiator tweet, an extremely expensive 150mm midrange driver, the same one used in the very popular Sonus Faber Stradivari, and two 220mm magnesium woofers. The crossover features exclusively the highest-quality components. The efficiency of the Amati Palladio is favorable at 92dB, making it excellent with both small amplifiers and tube amplifiers on these reference loudspeakers. The solid wooden cabinet, made from maple, is lacquered 10 times with a special finish, and the gloss is incredible. It's hard to find a more beautiful Amati Palladio. Sonically, the Amati Palladio is a very refined loudspeaker. A warm and relaxed tonal balance, yet highly detailed and dynamic. The bass goes very deep and sounds beautifully controlled.
