EN.
General : The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is the largest model in the Olympica Nova series.
Technology : The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is a completely new loudspeaker with 3 woofers compared to the first Olympica series. The Nova V is even a bit larger than the Serafino (G2) from the Homage range. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is now made of solid wooden panels that are shaped in a mold. The distinctive asymmetrical cabinet is complex and is bent into the correct shape in one go. The Stealth bass reflex port is special, and it delivers full and pure bass without the room being overly involved. The units themselves are also new. The 3 large woofers have a lightweight cellulose cone, embedded in high-tech foam. So a sandwich cone. The tweeter is a silk dome with an apex point to suppress resonances. The midrange is also made of slowly dried paper. The components in the crossover are likewise of very high quality.
Listening : We have been using the Olympica Nova series in our listening rooms for several years, so we have been able to listen to them extensively. All models in the Olympica Nova range sound truly beautiful. The overall build and sound quality come quite close to the Sonus Faber Homage range. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V sounds musical right from the start. Straight out of the box they already sound relaxed, finely detailed and beautifully dynamic. After some time of break-in, the bass becomes ever more beautiful and deeper, and the sound opens up nicely away from the speakers. What is great about the Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is that, like the other loudspeakers in the Olympica Nova series, it simply sounds very comfortable, combined with musical tension and fine detail. We call this musical. You listen to the Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V evening after evening without a trace of listening fatigue. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V is not only a very handsome piece of furniture to look at, but also a music maker in your home.
