General : The second most compact floor-standing speaker in the Sonetto series from Sonus Faber. Handcrafted in Italy.

Technical Details : The Sonus Faber Sonetto V features technologies from the higher and more expensive Olympica and Homage Tradition lines of Sonus Faber. The tweeter is a 29mm silk dome tweeter with DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology, extremely durable and true to life. The 150mm midrange driver consists of a blend of natural fiber and paper that is air-dried. This combination is available for the first time in this price range. Bass reproduction is handled by two 180mm aluminum woofers that provide tight and pure bass response. The main difference with the Sonetto III is that the Sonetto 5 extends deeper and can handle larger rooms. The bass port is located at the bottom of the speaker. The Sonetto V is still a reasonably compact floor-stander, but sounds much larger than it actually is. The woofers, midrange unit and tweeter are designed from A to Z by Sonus Faber themselves and sit in a cast enclosure. The Sonus Faber Sonetto V has a luxurious appearance with real wood components and a leather top panel. A heavy metal plate is mounted beneath the enclosure into which the solid aluminum spikes are screwed. Protective feet to prevent damage to your floor are included.

The treble is extremely detailed and refined. The midrange is very fast and realistic. The bass is pleasant, pure and tight.
