General : High End monitor loudspeaker from the Canadian brand Totem Acoustics featuring a patented 'Torrent' woofer.

Technical : As described in the previous sentence, the Totem Element Fire features a patented 'Torrent' woofer developed by Totem. The complete technical aspects of the 'Torrent' technology can be read on Totem's website : An Overview of Torrent Technology. But the point boils down to this : a handcrafted unit without active or passive crossover for a pure & coloration-free reproduction. All Totem loudspeakers using Torrent technology have only a simple crossover for the high frequency section which consists of just 2 components. The drive of this unit consists of seventeen 2.5" Neodymium magnets which completely surround the voice coil. The stroke the woofer can make is no less than 2.5cm and due to the very powerful and special drive the woofer can accelerate and stop extremely fast. In short, a woofer with 'Torrent' technology is free of coloration, extremely fast, rhythmic and sounds very open and honest.

Listening : The aforementioned honest sound is immediately noticeable from the moment you connect the Totem Element Fire. The overall sound is spatial, refined and transparent. The Totem Element Fire also has a very solid and controlled bass, more than you would expect from loudspeakers of this size. The soundstage is spacious, full and rich in detail. Live music truly feels like live music and the Totem Element Fire are also not averse to heavier music. All in all, the Totem Element Fire is a technically superior and musical loudspeaker where you can enjoy it for a long time. This set of Totem Element Fire is in excellent, undamaged condition and comes with the original packaging. However, this set is supplied without stands, so these will need to be purchased separately.
