Almost day for day 10 years ago the trip to Groningen from West Flanders for the purchase of a pair of KEF reference model 4 speakers and wanted to let you know that they still sound just as wonderful as that November day in 2015...
I cherish them and have very good memories of Derk's genuine nature and professional expertise.
Friendly greetings from Belgium

Music Enthusiasts:

Although not my first purchase, it is my first review.
I have known Derk for a very long time and Luuk and Gerbren for somewhat less time but long enough to appreciate their knowledge and enthusiasm. In the meantime I have made several more purchases and one of their Ansuz products (PowerSwitch). This brand has something special for me and that is the alternative and innovative Ansuz approach to everything that is noisy and buzzes.
I have tried most (brand) cables but especially with the Ansuz cables in the digital field something extra is unleashed in the musical flow. I now have LAN and USB cables from Ansuz.
I will not give a description of my experience with the products, this can be found on the internet (e.g.: soundnews.net Hifi-Advice), which completely matches what I experience myself. Testing at home is also no problem.
For a future purchase, Ohm-Audio will certainly be my first step.

After recovering from a hernia and spending a week in bed, we are now able to write a review of our newly purchased McIntosh MA12000. In one word: excellent! The setup was a breeze - we have some experience - and compared to the MA7900, which we were fortunate to trade in at a good price, we experience more depth overall when enjoying music for large symphony orchestras. How this amplifier performs with contemporary house or other music we don't know because we don't play that. Elvis Presley we can tolerate here. Sounds good, old recordings mostly, but very palatable.
What particularly stands out is the powerful way this amplifier renders percussion. If you are familiar with the large bass drum from symphonic music, I can tell you that you feel it physically with this amplifier. (If the recording is good, that matters.) When playing the CD - yes we are old-fashioned, no streamer - with Verdi's Requiem and in this case the beginning of the Dies Irae, everything comes out voluminous but not shrill from the speakers (Yamaha NS5000). Controlled is a good word for it. With this amplifier, the gurgling of the Cimbasso is clearly distinguishable from the trombones. If the soprano in the Libera Me doesn't break free from the choir, something is wrong with the equipment. Something in the chain of your stereo system is not in order. But in this case there is a fantastic development in the dynamics of that section: effortless. Those are good reference points when you buy new equipment again.
About that hernia. We picked up this amplifier in Groningen. Including packaging, it weighs approximately 63 kilos. That just fit in the car. Once home, we unpacked it outside and wheeled the inner box, which contains the amplifier, on a cart to the stairs. Everything had to go to the first floor. Unpacked there and step by step we got that 50 kilos up with the two of us. After that we slid it along the floor with a small rug a bit further down the hallway. Lifted it onto the hifi rack. Hence the back problems.
The staff at Ohm audio explain everything well and are patient. When I need something new again, I will certainly consult their website.

Good morning all Ohm staff, Last week I purchased the demo Seawave acoustics AM23 from you. WHAT A FANTASTIC SPEAKER!!! Gigantic clarity and spacious sound and that without sibilance, wonderful tight bass that really goes deep. The entire sound image is a fantastic coherent whole of the highest level. The design is also of the highest level without becoming kitschy and the finish and packaging is well thought out. Everything about the AM23 is top-class and there has never been anything this good heard in this price range. A true recommendation for every serious hi-fi enthusiast. With musical regards, Henk ter Meer

Hello, I wanted to enter the world of better streamers. Qobuz was also recommended to me. Current setup consisted of: McIntosh: MA8900, MCD300 and MR7084. Connected to Sonus Faber Olympic 1/
Connected with Siltech cables
Replacement: Accuphase E650, Aurender A15 and Sonus Faber Guarneri Momento. Use of the following cables: Nordost Red Dawn XLR/XLR, Power Cable: PureCable Nano Power ?x? and Ansuz Acoustics Speakz P2, speaker cable.
Result: Sound characteristics: The Ansuz Speakz P2 sounds
Transparent and refined.
Very natural.
The bass is tight and has plenty of definition, but not overdone.
No heavy bass passages in this combination.
The midtones are clear and pleasant.
The tones are clearly audible.
The sound balance of the Ansuz Speakz P2 is very well balanced.

Fantastic experience, especially for a first time with a streamer: Aurender A15

The people at Ohm Audio helped me with installation, cables and equipment, many thanks

Hi Derk,

My compliments for your service, absolutely top-notch!! Especially willing to make a 350km journey just to pick up the Sonus Fabers, 35 kg, and deliver my new 43 kg.
I am extremely happy and delighted with the Sonus Faber Guarneri Memento, Violin Red, in like-new condition that I purchased.
This set sounds many times better than the Sonus Faber I traded in. And the design, like a magnificent statue.
The speakers were delivered in perfect condition and assembled.
The traded-in speakers were expertly packed.
I was able to trade in my speakers for a fair, realistic price.
Most importantly, Derk is likeable and trustworthy.
It was a pleasure doing business, and I'd be happy to visit again when I'm in Groningen.
TOP Equipment / Top Sellers and Top Service

Thank you
Dirk

Recently traded in my set at Ohm Audio and now I have a beautiful setup consisting of an Axxess Forté 1 streamer/dac/amplifier plus a pair of Børresen X1 speakers (of course equipped with the correct cables, in this case the Ansuz Speakz P2 speaker cable and the Ansuz Acoustics Mainz A2 power cord) playing.
Very warmly received with delicious coffee and helped by Luuk who, besides excellent expertise, is also very enthusiastic and contagious about his craft. Ohm Audio is absolutely worth a visit for the Hi-Fi enthusiast.
