General: The Ansuz Acoustics Jumperz X3 is the latest version of the entry-level Bi-Wire Jumpers from Ansuz Acoustics in Denmark. The new Jumperz X3 now belongs to the Steel Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Steel Series of Ansuz is called the Steel Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) enclosure. The predecessor of the Jumperz X3, the Jumperz X2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid the material aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound quality, it imparts an artificial tone through its resonance behavior and it causes hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems that aluminum causes later, Audio Group Denmark has chosen to tackle the problem at the source and no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are cut to size by a special machine and stripped to avoid damaging the conductor surface.

In most cases, the standard jumpers supplied with Bi-Wire speakers are of moderate quality, which means that sound quality is not optimal. With the Ansuz Jumperz X3, you get much more out of your speakers. The Ansuz Jumperz X3 features very pure solid-core conductors of silver-plated copper that are shielded with Teflon and tinned copper mesh. The conductors are rigid and stiff for better mechanical stability and fewer resonances in the conductors. Yet the conductors are easy to bend and thanks to the convenient length of 40cm, the Ansuz Jumperz X3 can be used with many speakers. The connectors are high-quality gold-plated connectors housed in a stainless steel enclosure. The Ansuz Jumperz X3 ensure optimal signal transmission between the connections for the midrange/treble and bass connections on the speakers.

If you have the speaker cable in the LF connections of your speakers, then the Bi-Wire jumpers ensure that the drivers for the midrange and treble tones receive their signal. As soon as you use the Ansuz Jumperz X3 instead of the standard supplied jumpers, a few things immediately stand out. The midrange/treble area becomes less murky, less restless and more details are audible with more depth in the soundstage. The music becomes more pleasant to listen to, but at the same time you hear more than before. Echoes fade deeper away and voices and instruments sound more organic and refined.

If you have the speaker cable in the HF connections of your speakers, the Bi-Wire jumpers ensure that the drivers for the low tones receive their signal. As soon as you use the Ansuz Jumperz X3 instead of the standard supplied bridges, a few things immediately stand out. The bass reproduction becomes tighter and more musical. The overall sound gets more 'drive' and rhythm, without becoming restless. Particularly with 2-way speakers where the bass woofer also picks up a large part of the midtones, the musical improvement is clearly audible when you connect the Ansuz Jumperz X3 in this way. The low and mid tones become cleaner, more natural and smoother. The overall sound simply articulates better and listening to the music is a more pleasant experience.
