General :The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz X3 is the latest entry-level digital interlink from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The new Digitalz X3 now belongs to the Steel Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Steel Series of Ansuz is called the Steel Series, because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) casing. The predecessor of the Digitalz X3, the Digitalz X2, had connectors in an aluminum casing. And for Ansuz Acoustics that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (where Ansuz falls under) is always investigating different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on the sound, it gives an artificial tone due to its resonance behavior and it causes hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems that aluminum causes later, Audio Group Denmark has chosen to address the problem at its source and therefore no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Digitalz X3 is a stiff solidcore cable with very good mechanical stability. The conductors are effectively insulated in Teflon, which is then wrapped in a mesh of tinned copper. The Ansuz Digitalz X3 is handmade in the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz X3 has a natural and lively sound. The bass is tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are excellent. Yet the sound remains within comfortable limits, the sound is transparent as it should be but it is not unnecessary spectacle, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about the body of the bass and the detailing in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to talk about that, instead we talk about the enormous musical properties that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The more affordable Ansuz Digitalz X3 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately involved with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds is over, the time to listen to music has begun.
