General: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz X-TC3 is the newest and second most affordable digital interlink from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 replaces the Digitalz P2, the letter 'P' is no longer used in the new Ansuz Acoustics range. The new Digitalz X-TC3 belongs to the Steel Series from Ansuz Acoustics. The Steel Series from Ansuz is called the Steel Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) enclosure. The predecessor of the Digitalz X-TC3, the Digitalz P2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that's a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are very frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound; it imparts an artificial tone through its resonance behavior and induces hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems aluminum causes later, Audio Group Denmark chose to tackle the problem at its source and thus no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 is a very tightly twisted cable which reduces noise in the conductors and improves mechanical stability. With the Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3, in addition to the solid-core main conductors, Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC) are also used. The conductors are effectively isolated in Teflon with a mesh of tinned copper around it. The Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 is hand-made at the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz X-TC3 has a natural, powerful and spatial sound. The bass is deep, tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are excellent. The Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 clearly has more body and calmness in the sound compared to the already outstanding Ansuz Digitalz X3 digital interlink. More happens in the soundstage and you hear more layers in the recording. The sound is transparent as it should be but it's not unnecessary spectacle, which is characteristic of Ansuz, something you'll find in all Ansuz cables. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about certain details and accents. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to talk about that; instead, we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 is absolutely no exception. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you're immediately engaged with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds has passed; the time to listen to music has begun.
