General: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz A3 is the latest digital interlink from the A-series of Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The Ansuz Digitalz A3 replaces the Digitalz A2. The new Digitalz A3 is the most affordable digital interlink from the Copper Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Copper Series of Ansuz is called the Copper Series because the housing of the gold-plated connectors is made of solid copper. The predecessor of the Digitalz A3, the Digitalz A2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And that is a problem for Ansuz Acoustics. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly researching different materials. Materials such as Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound; it creates an artificial tone through its resonance behavior and causes hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark has chosen to tackle the problem at the source and no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Digitalz A3 is a very tightly twisted cable which ensures less noise in the conductors and improved mechanical stability, yet the cable is easy to handle. With the Ansuz Digitalz A3 compared to the Digitalz X3, in addition to the solidcore main conductors, Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC) are also used. The Ansuz Digitalz A3 has a larger amount of DIHC compared to the Signalz X-TC3, so even less noise enters the signal and even less induction occurs in the signal path. The conductors are effectively insulated in Teflon with a mesh of tinned copper around it. The Ansuz Signalz A3 is hand-made in the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz A3 has a natural, powerful and spatial sound. The bass is deep, tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are in excellent order. The Ansuz Digitalz A3 clearly has more peace in the sound and an even more defined soundstage compared to the already excellent Ansuz Digitalz X-TC3 digital interlink. More happens in the sound image and you hear more layers in the recording. The sound is transparent as it should be but it is not unnecessary spectacle; this is reflected in the Ansuz character that virtually all Ansuz cables possess. Everything you hear is pure music; we could talk about certain details and accents. But with Ansuz Acoustics we don't need to talk about that; instead we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The Ansuz Digitalz A3 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately involved with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds is over; the time to listen to music has begun.
