Technology: The McIntosh MC830 is an extremely powerful amplifier. The McIntosh MC830 offers both balanced and unbalanced inputs which can be switched via a small switch on the rear panel. In case of overvoltage or short circuit, the McIntosh MC830 has a fuse-free protection built-in, called 'Sentry Monitor'. By not using fuses, the current is virtually unrestricted, which benefits sound quality. The McIntosh MC830 also features a 'Power Guard' protection so you cannot overdrive your speakers.

Appearance: You can virtually recognize a McIntosh device from a kilometer away, and the McIntosh MC830 is no exception. The MC830 features the characteristic glass front panel where the McIntosh logo glows in green and where 2 analog meters with an illuminated blue background are located. For those who don't like illuminated equipment, the lights behind the analog meters can be switched off. The McIntosh MC830 is very solidly built and can drive virtually any speaker on the market.
