General: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D3 Ethernet is the latest model ethernet cable in the D-series from Ansuz Acoustics of Denmark. The Digitalz D3 replaces the Digitalz D2. The Digitalz D3 Ethernet is a reference cable positioned above the passive Digitalz X3 and A3 models and below the ultra reference models from the D-TC Series. The new ethernet cables from Ansuz Acoustics are wound in a new way to ensure even better noise suppression and inductance reduction. Besides the fact that the cables are now wound better and more precisely, the ethernet cables have remained largely the same, which is why the price has not increased much. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet uses distinctive techniques to keep the noise floor as low as possible and deliver a clean signal to the receiver. The Ansuz D3 sets new standards in terms of price-to-quality ratio for ethernet cables. It is a true reference cable that performs at an extremely high level, even in its price range. Only the more expensive Ansuz D-TC, D-TC Supreme and D-TC Gold Signature cables surpass it.

Technology: The Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet features pure silver-plated conductors and high-quality gold-plated connectors. The cable is well shielded and the Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet also uses Ansuz Acoustics' unique Tesla Coil technology for capturing and eliminating noise for a cleaner music signal. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet uses Passive End Coils, which are passive Tesla Coils attached to the conductors at the end of the cable. On the Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet, these Passive End Coils are located at both ends, providing double the amount compared to the Digitalz X3 Ethernet. In addition to the Passive End Coils, there is also a Passive Cable Tesla Coil midway through the cable, which the X3 does not have either. What ultimately makes the Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet significantly better than the A3 is the introduction of Active Cable Tesla Coil technology, which is much more efficient than the passive Tesla Coils. However, these Active Tesla Coils need to be powered by an Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet is also extra well shielded by an additional layer of copper mesh.

Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox: Because the Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet uses Active Tesla Coil Technology, it is recommended to use an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox to make optimal use of the cable, but even without a PowerSwitch or PowerBox, the Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet performs at an extremely high level. When you connect the Digitalz D3 Ethernet cable to a PowerBox or PowerSwitch using the included TC cable, the Active Tesla Coils are activated. The Active Tesla Coils are 3-4 times more effective at eliminating noise compared to the passive versions of the Tesla Coils. So connected to a PowerBox or PowerSwitch, you will experience less noise in the sound and thus a more transparent presentation with a quieter background. For this reason, it is well worth considering an Ansuz PowerBox or PowerSwitch. As an added benefit, the Ansuz PowerSwitch is an audiophile network switch that takes the musical qualities of your streaming setup to a much higher level, so an Ansuz PowerSwitch is recommended for your streamer even without Ansuz cabling.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D3 Ethernet largely shares its character with its predecessor, the Digitalz D2 Ethernet. But the new Digitalz D3 Ethernet adds even more transparency, spaciousness and detail on top. The Digitalz D3 Ethernet distinguishes itself from the A3 and X3 by presenting an even quieter background and a freer, more pronounced presentation. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 Ethernet has an enormously natural and organic sound, like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics.
