General : The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is the higher positioned successor to the Sonus Faber Olympica 2

Technology : The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is a completely new speaker. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is now made from solid wood panels which are shaped in a mold. The characteristic asymmetrical cabinet is complex, and is bent into the correct shape in one go in the press. The Stealth Bass Reflex port is special, and it provides full, deep and pure bass without bass boom. The Nova series also allows relatively close placement to the wall. The drivers themselves are also new and made in Italy. The woofers have a light cellulose cone, set in high tech foam, and are driven by a very powerful magnet. A sandwich cone, in other words. The tweeter is a silk dome, with an apex point, to suppress resonances. The tweeter also has a very large resonance chamber behind the magnet, so the tweeter can extend quite deep. The midrange cone is made from slowly dried paper, and has a copper-plated aluminum coil in the drive. The components in the crossover filter are also of very high quality. All drivers are secured in the front covered with genuine leather. Under the cabinet are stainless steel rods with excellent spikes. The new Sonus Faber Nova series is a special product. Luxury, and handmade in Italy.
