General : The Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 is the latest version of the most affordable integrated hybrid amplifier from Italian Lector Audio.

Technical : The Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 is an integrated amplifier with 2 pieces of 6922 triode tubes in the preamplifier section and Mosfet transistors in the power amplification. In the case of the ZXT-70/2, the preamplifier section is equipped with a single tube per channel. A 6922 dual triode per channel and fully set in Class A. The output stage of the Lector ZXT-70/2 is equipped with a new type of Mosfet transistor. Mosfets are transistors known for their tube-like characteristics. The bias of both the tubes and the Mosfets is automatically adjusted, so you don't have to do it yourself. The Mosfets used are specially made for Lector Audio. The Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 delivers a healthy 2 x 70 Watts continuous at 8 Ohm, and more than 2 x 100 Watts at 4 Ohm. Sufficient power for most speakers. The Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 has 2 power supplies with a large toroidal transformer. 1 for the power amplifier, and 1 for the tube preamplifier. The power supply for the preamplifier has been updated in this latest version of the ZXT-70 and now has a larger and more stable toroidal transformer.

Listening : The Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 is, like all Lector Audio products, a very musical amplifier which sounds very easy. A typical Lector characteristic, which you find in all of their products, is the joy of playing, liveliness, playfulness and exuberance. The musicality, and thus the music, radiates from it. Here is no boring quiet reproduction but a very natural and touching sound quality. Combine the Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 with a Lector Audio CDP-603 CD player, or the Lector Audio Digicode S-192 High Resolution D/A Converter, and you have a beautiful, remarkable and very musical High End system. Despite the special qualities of the Lector Audio ZXT-70/2 amplifier, it is downright affordable when you compare the musicality with other amplifiers in its price range. Updates versus previous ZXT-70 version : The Lector ZXT-70/2 is not a completely different amplifier compared to the previous version of the ZXT-70. However, some things have been improved. The power supply for the preamplifier has been improved and now features a larger toroidal transformer. The Mosfet power amplifier transistors have also been updated and new capacitors have been used. As a result, the Lector ZXT-70/2 sounds somewhat more detailed, tighter and more transparent than the previous version.
