General: The PowerSwitch A3 belongs to the latest generation of network switches from the Danish brand Ansuz Acoustics. This Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 uses the latest techniques from Ansuz Acoustics. Ansuz Acoustics has applied the brand new Active Zirconium Tesla Coils in the PowerSwitch A3. The Analog Dither Technology is also of the latest (3rd) generation. All these techniques + all other techniques in the Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 ensure a reduction of noise in the music signal and amplification of the music signal.

Noise: The sound quality of the music you stream depends not only on your streamer and the streaming service or storage location used. The network switch can also greatly help in perfecting the sound quality of streamed music. Before an internet signal enters your home via an ethernet cable, many noise signals are picked up from outside and via equipment where noise floor is not considered, since this is not important, for example with laptops, gaming consoles and PCs. So although the incoming signal is usable, it is contaminated, and you hear that back in the sound quality. A contaminated signal sounds muddy, compact and unclear. A contaminated signal also often lacks 'body'. The Ansuz Acoustics PowerSwitches are designed with a keen eye and ear for an efficient method of noise suppression and signal distribution. The idea is that you go directly from your modem/router to the Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 with an LAN/Ethernet cable. The Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 then filters out contamination from the incoming signal and lowers the noise floor. This provides a cleaner, but especially more refined, quieter and thus more analog sounding audio output with a blacker background.

Technology: All PowerSwitches from Ansuz Acoustics are equipped with various noise suppressing and music signal amplifying techniques. The PowerSwitches from Ansuz Acoustics suppress noise through their own Tesla Coil technology. Ansuz Acoustics' Tesla Coils are an effective and high-quality technique based on a simple principle. A Tesla Coil consists of 2 coils, a coil and a counter coil. As soon as the coil detects a noise spike, the counter coil creates a noise spike out of phase, which cancels out the initial noise spike. Think of it as a noise-canceling headphone, which does exactly the same, except a noise-canceling headphone does this electronically while the Ansuz Tesla Coils do it mechanically. The more Tesla Coils applied in the signal path, the better the noise is eliminated. The difference between the different PowerSwitches from Ansuz Acoustics lies in the number and different types of Tesla Coils used, with Ansuz's most expensive PowerSwitch, the D-TC GOLD Signature, containing the largest number and most advanced Tesla Coils for optimal noise suppression and sound quality, and it also comes in a better housing with the circuit boards internally mounted on Ansuz Darkz decouplers.

The Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 is the entry model above Ansuz Acoustics' intro PowerSwitch: the Ansuz X-TC3. The Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 is a clear step above the Ansuz X-TC3, with the Ansuz A3 featuring no less than 90 Active Square Tesla Coils, 3 Active Zirconium Tesla Coils, 2 Active Cable Tesla Coils and 2 pieces of Analog Dither Circuitry Gen.3. The Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 therefore has much more extensive noise suppression compared to the PowerSwitch X-TC3. The Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 features a high-quality and stable internal power supply, so you don't need to make extra costs by purchasing an expensive external linear power supply.

All PowerSwitches from Ansuz Acoustics are equipped with a built-in Ansuz Acoustics PowerBox. The cables of the Ansuz D2 series and higher have a block with a 3.5" Jack input which can be connected to the Ansuz PowerSwitch via a Jack cable supplied with the Ansuz cable. The block of the Ansuz D2 series cables and higher contains Active Tesla Coils, these are Tesla Coils that operate under voltage, these Tesla Coils are up to 4 times as effective as the Passive Tesla Coils. However, the Active Tesla Coils must first be energized, the PowerBox functionality was created for this. This provides a lower noise floor and less ground potential difference between equipment.

Sound Characteristics: The first thing that stands out when you connect the Ansuz PowerSwitch A3 is the calm and clarity of the soundstage. It's as if a thin curtain in front of the speakers has been removed and you're more involved with the music.
