General : The Elac FS 409 is a beautiful floorstanding 3.5-way loudspeaker with a powerful, neutral yet engaging sound.

Technology : The Elac FS 409 is a mature full-range loudspeaker, yet its size still fits well in an average living room. The cabinet is very solid and neatly finished in high-gloss black. Two 180mm woofers handle the bass, supported by a bass reflex port on the underside of the speakers, which makes positioning the speakers easier. Above the midrange driver sits the AMT tweeter, perfected by Elac, a very clever design that sounds exceptionally pure and plays very easily thanks to its high efficiency. The crossovers use very high-quality components such as air-core coils and film capacitors for a very transparent and articulated sound.

Listening : The Elac FS 409 is a pleasure to listen to and performs very well in many respects. The bass extends impressively deep for a speaker of this size. The 3.5-way layout maintains a lot of grip, even during complex passages. The fast and light AMT tweeters give the top end a clean and beautifully detailed high end. The overall sound is coherent, neutral but above all pleasant. These speakers are in good condition and can be auditioned at our shop, of course accompanied by a fresh cup of coffee.
