General : The Aavik U-380 is a powerful and versatile amplifier. Equipped with an optimally tunable MC phono stage and a D/A Converter for PCM and DSD signals.

Engineering : The Aavik U-380 is very solidly built, the housing is a sleek design and made of solid CNC-machined aluminium. On the front is a large round rotary knob for controlling the volume or input selection. The built-in phono stage is for MC cartridges and is adjustable from 50 Ohm to 10,000 Ohm. The D/A Converter in the U-280 features 2 BNC inputs, 2 Toslink inputs and a USB input. The BNC inputs can convert PCM signals up to 24bit/192kHz, the Toslink inputs can convert PCM signals up to 24bit/96kHz and the USB input can convert both PCM signals up to 24bit/192kHz and DSD signals up to DSD128. For noise cancelling, Active Tesla Coil technology is used, which is still used today in Aavik Acoustics' new U-X88 series. The internal wiring also features Tesla Coil technology for eliminating noise inside the amplifier. With its 300 Watts per channel at 8 Ohm and even 600 Watts per channel at 4 Ohm, the Aavik U-280 can easily drive almost any loudspeaker on the market. The Aavik U-380 stands on Ansuz Darkz Feet where Ansuz Darkz decouplers (optional) can be placed underneath, this greatly improves the sound and is therefore highly recommended.

Sound : The Aavik U-380 sounds very dynamic, transparent and lively. The spatial imaging is large and airy, the music is rhythmic and clean. Especially with acoustic live recordings and percussion you hear the rhythm and speed that the Aavik U-380 possesses. Electronic music also sounds spectacular and powerful. The Aavik U-380 adds virtually no coloration to the sound, which is why you clearly hear the performers in the recording as intended. The Aavik U-380 reveals with the greatest ease details that you had not previously noticed without straining your ears.

This Aavik Acoustics U-380 is in like-new condition and is supplied including its original packaging and accessories. Remote control is done with the included Apple remote.
