General : The Avalon Ascendant from Avalon Acoustics is an excellent two-way top-class loudspeaker. This Ascendant is equipped with a very good Titanium dome tweeter, and a sophisticated Avalon crossover filter.

Engineering : The Avalon Acoustics Ascendant is a technically very well-conceived loudspeaker. It is a very solid and heavily constructed two-way system with fantastic drivers. The Avalon Acoustics Proprietary Titanium dome tweeter, and the very rigid and lightweight honeycomb woofer/midrange units. These Avalons sound best, like all other Avalon loudspeakers, with the front panel in place. The front contains dampening felt strips which reduce radiation toward the sides. This makes the Ascendant less sensitive to room placement, and its 3D characteristics are truly excellent. The Ascendant is easy to drive, even with tube amplifiers.

Listening : The Avalon Ascendant sounds grand, rhythmic, and very engaging. The Ascendant sounds very beautiful, calm, and has no listening fatigue. The Avalon Ascendant is in particular a very musical loudspeaker, and one of the easiest-sounding Avalons in the field. Set it up, connect it, and enjoy.
