The Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic is the successor to the still superbly sounding Avalon Eclipse speakers. The Eclipse set standards in the reproduction of spatial imaging and is still one of the best speakers on the market. The Avalon Eclipse Classic is the successor to the original Eclipse and sounds noticeably more open and dynamic, thus better. The speaker configuration and cabinet technology have been upgraded, the tweeter has received a heavier magnet, and the filter has been completely renewed. The original Eclipse was quite difficult to drive, and this Eclipse Classic also performs excellently with less powerful amplifiers, and also tube amplifiers.

Sound : The Avalon Eclipse Classic is a true High End speaker with a very musical and particularly distinctive character. It is a sealed 2-way system in a very heavy and solidly constructed enclosure, which is beautifully finished with genuine Curly Maple. The Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic can easily keep up with current high end speakers and does some things even better than most of them. Due to the sealed system, the bass reproduction is unequivocally precise. Tight, deep and very well defined. The midrange is also of excellent quality. Pure, clean and very transparent. The tweeter is crossed over very low, starting from 1000 Hz. The upper midrange and ultra-high reproduction is thereby so distinctive and transparent and dynamic that it sounds really fantastic. The filter is built into a separate compartment in the bottom of the enclosure and therefore does not suffer from resonances. Once properly positioned, the Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic does things that make other speakers pale in comparison. A complete musical picture, from deep bass to top treble, ultra transparent and very authentic. Quite special and you can listen to it for hours without listener fatigue. A requirement is that the Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic is provided with a very good system, as all errors in the chain become audible immediately. The Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic is, alongside the original Eclipse, one of our personal favorites and is very suitable for music lovers in compact spaces, but they can also handle very large rooms. The Avalon Eclipse Classic can play loud, but truly excels in an incredibly musical presentation as long as it is not played too loud. These Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic speakers are finished in Curly Maple and are in excellent condition, and are delivered complete with the Apex Couplers and manual. The Avalon Acoustics Eclipse Classic speakers are ready for a musical listening session and are ready for many more years of musical enjoyment in your home.
