Despite its age, the Avalon Acoustics Eclipse keeps pace effortlessly with current high-end speakers, and still outperforms many of them in several aspects. Thanks to its sealed system, bass reproduction is exceptionally precise. Tight, deep, and very well-defined. The midrange is also of superior quality. Pure, clean, and extremely transparent. The tweeter is set very low, starting from 1.2KHz. This makes the upper midrange and ultra-high reproduction particularly transparent and dynamic. The crossover is built into a separate compartment in the base of the enclosure, so it is unaffected by resonances. Once properly positioned, the Avalon Acoustics Eclipse does things that make other speakers fade away. A complete image, from deep bass to top treble, ultra-transparent and very natural. The closed system has the bass response, unmatched exactly, Tight, deep and very well defined. Also, the middle area is of great class. Pure , clean and very transparent. The tweeter has a very low crossover point, 1.2kHz, and the middle high and ultra -high display are therefore super transparent and dynamic. The filter is built into a compartment in the bottom part of the housing, and has therefore not affected by resonances.
