Technique : The Time is a technically very advanced loudspeaker. The enclosure consists of many layers of HDF, and internally braced very carefully. The front panel alone is already 12cm thick. The loudspeaker units are among the best that can be obtained. 2 units of 30cm Honeycomb woofers in a semi-closed enclosure. The Avalon Time contains a port on the bottom, but that is not a bass reflex port, it is more a venting of the energy that builds up in the cabinet. The midrange unit is a ceramic concave unit with a neodymium magnet. Very fast and clean, and thanks to Avalon's sophisticated filter technology, it is completely free from unwanted noise. The tweeter is the large (24mm) pure diamond tweeter from Accuton, also driven by a neodymium magnet. In terms of filter technology, Avalon uses solutions that you will only find with them. All of this is tuned to the enclosure, and also the front, with a felt layer. The front must remain in place for the best acoustic results.

Listening :Acoustically, the Avalon Time is one of the most powerful loudspeakers from Avalon, and that is not all. The Avalon Time can send an unimaginable amount of energy into the room. The bass reproduction is full, deep and very clean. The difference between different bass instruments is extremely audible. The midrange is clean, tuneful and very finely dynamic, but can also really pack a punch when needed. The treble reproduction is incredibly clean and refined. Everything is in perfect order, but it is especially the overall picture that stands out. Simply an enormous sound bubble with a lot of power and dynamic, and also refinement. The Avalon Time is a loudspeaker for a larger room; 3 x 4 meters is not sufficient. But the Time is quite easy to place, not critical at all, but if you want to get the best out of it, you will need to connect the Avalon Time to a very good amplifier, such as the Bricasti M15. The Avalon Time is, like its name, a time master. You can easily position yourself in the space of the original recording. Very special. The Avalon Time has a port on the bottom, but it's not a bassreflex port, it's more a venting of the the energy wich is built up inside of the enclosure. The midrange unit is a ceramic Concave unit with a Neodymium drive system. Very quick and clean and thanks to the excellent filter technics of Avalon Acostics the midrange unit is completely clear of negative sound effects. The Tweeter is a big (24mm) pure diamond tweeter made by Accuton, also driven by a Neodymium magnet. If it comes to the technique of a filter there are some solutions which you will only find at Avalon Acoustics. The speaker is also adjuted to the front in front of it, so you'll have to keep the front on the speaker for the best results.
