Technology : The B&W 704 is a 3-way loudspeaker with high-quality drivers. For the bass, B&W uses a 165mm paper/kevlar composite woofer. The woofer is supported by a bass reflex port on both the front and rear. The midrange driver features the instantly recognizable yellow 165mm pure Kevlar cone. And for the tweeter, which is located in a separate compartment on top of the loudspeaker, a 25mm aluminum dome is used.

Listening : The B&W 704 sounds beautifully full and robust, thanks to the neutral and rigid materials used in the drivers, you get minimal coloration and a beautiful natural sound image. The B&W 704 can play quite loud and powerfully, and can therefore reproduce large orchestral works and electronic music excellently, but the B&W 704 can also play very refined at lower volumes. The B&W 704 is therefore a versatile loudspeaker with a beautiful, deep and controlled bass, rich midtones and a refined treble. Because of the bass port on the back of the loudspeaker, a bit of space between the B&W 704 and the rear wall is desired. But once properly positioned and connected, for the money you spend on this B&W 704, you've got a very special and outstanding loudspeaker.
