Description : The Bricasti M12 is a unique device on the market. It is a Bricasti M1SE Dual Mono DA Converter with a built-in separate Reference Quality Analogue preamplifier. It also includes a high-end network player, the Bricasti M5, built-in.

Engineering : The Bricasti M12 is built like the other Bricasti products. Completely made from solid aluminium panels, which are machined by the CNC machine to nanometer precision. The Bricasti M12 derives from the Bricasti M1SE. The Bricasti M1SE is a reference-class DA Converter with the most common digital inputs, such as High Speed USB, AES/EBU, S/PDIF over RCA, Coax and Toslink. The Bricasti M1SE can be connected directly to power amplifiers, and the volume can then be adjusted via the advanced digital volume control. This Bricasti M1SE is fully integrated into the Bricasti M12, but now the DAC delivers a small voltage to the analogue output board. This fully balanced analogue board now controls the volume not digitally, but in the analogue domain, with an R2R ladder network of resistors. Uncompromising signal processing and always maximum digital resolution is the result. Furthermore, the Bricasti M12 has an analogue unbalanced input and a balanced input at its disposal. So it is also an analogue preamplifier. The quality of all components is of reference-class quality. The ceramic audio boards are unique, and extremely expensive. The Bricasti M12 has 3 completely separate power supplies, including 3 transformers. What differs from the Bricasti M1 is that the Bricasti M12 has a UTP network connection. With this connection you can see the Bricasti M12 as a DLNA player. The Bricasti M12 appears as a network player in your network and you can optionally control it directly from your Antipodes streamer, or PC or even a UPnP or DLNA network streamer on your iPad or Android device. Even DSD and DXD can be sent directly to the Bricasti M12 without any form of conversion.

Listening : The Bricasti M12 sounds fantastic. Pure analogue, without a trace of harshness. The sound image is grand, pure and beautifully balanced. The 3D presentation is ultra precise, and you perceive an unprecedented tonal richness. Thanks to the built-in analogue preamplifier, the digital resolution is always 100%, and the Bricasti M12 sounds enormously powerful, even with the most difficult power amplifiers. The Bricasti M12 is a unique device, and in our opinion, one of a kind.
