General : This Bricasti M3 is the most comprehensive version of the M3, equipped with the optional balanced headphone amplifier and built-in streamer. This is a very young used device, which is also clearly visible from the new display that Bricasti Design has only recently started using in its equipment.

Power Supply : The components used are all of top quality. There is a dual linear power supply on board with 2 transformers. One circuit for all digital components and one circuit for the analog electronics. The power supplies are linear and not switched, and the analog and digital sections are thus separated from each other. This results in a very low noise floor for the most optimal sound.

D/A Conversion : The D/A conversion is done by means of 2 completely separate circuits. All PCM signals are upsampled and converted by a very precise 24 bit ADI 1955 Delta Sigma PCM DA Converter, with a very precise 8ps clock. PCM remains PCM and is therefore not converted to DSD. Converting to DSD may seem nice but it comes at the expense of the purity of the signal. For DSD there is the Bricasti own discrete 1 bit pure analog DSD converter built in. This DSD conversion is the best possible way and sonically unmatched. If desired, you can also have the DSD files converted by the ADI 1955 converter. The digital filters are dual design. You can choose between the Linear filter for the most precision or the Minimum filter for a slightly fuller reproduction.

Analog : The Analog output buffer is a class A output amplifier, separate for the balanced XLR outputs and the RCA outputs. Sonically an excellent solution. The Bricasti M3 contains an analog controlled volume control circuit. If desired, you can connect the Bricasti M3 directly to power amplifiers. The analog output can deliver 8 Volts. The volume control ranges from -60 dB to +8dB. At 0dB setting the Bricasti M3 switches the Analog volume control out of the signal path, making it a direct D/A Converter output without the extra buffers.

Remote : The Bricasti M3 can optionally be equipped with the new aluminum remote control. Since the Bricasti M3 has a beautiful large and very clear Dot Matrix display you can excellently control the M3 remotely. All functions can be operated. Volume, Balance control, Filters, the Converter etc. This remote control is also made of billet aluminum and is a joy to work with.

Network Player : In this Bricasti M3 the optional streamer is built in. This streamer is fully RoonReady. But you can also use Audirvana and set the streamer in the M3 as DLNA endpoint. For people with an Android phone or tablet, you can also stream directly to the streamer using the BubbleUPnP application. Listening : The Bricasti M3 has many features of the acclaimed Bricasti M1 and M1SE Classic DA Converters. The sound is largely similar. A very pure and differentiated sound image reveals itself, and the music reveals itself calmly and precisely. The Bricasti M3 has a completely analog sound image. All Bricasti audio equipment possesses the art of analog music reproduction. The sound image embraces you, and does not attack you. This Bricasti M3 is no exception to this. Expect a refined, neutral and very musical reproduction of your favorite music.
