Technique : The B&W 803D is a large floor standing speaker with very advanced technology. The cabinet is a Matrix enclosure. The B&W 803D has 3 carbon woofers with substantial travel. The midrange is Kevlar, and the tweeter is pure diamond. The cabinet is kept as slim as possible for optimal radiation. Partly for this reason, the diamond tweeter is placed on top of the cabinet. The B&W 803D is a bass reflex supported speaker and foam plugs are supplied to adjust the bass to the room.

Sound : The B&W 803D sounds very clear. Spatial, very bright and at the same time soft treble, a tight and open midrange. And a solid and very deep bass. The B&W 803D sounds very homogeneous. The B&W 803D requires a sturdy amplifier and some space to sound optimal.
