General : The C.E.C. TL 2N is a high-quality digital CD transport with top loader and puck. What is special about this CD transport is that it is not simply string-driven, but is driven by two strings. It is a fully digital CD transport, so there is no DAC built in and therefore the TL 2N does not have analog outputs. For use with DACs from other brands, there is a choice between an AES/EBU XLR output, an SPDIF Coax RCA output or a Toslink Optical output. For people with the C.E.C. DA SL DAC, users can use C.E.C.'s own 'Superlink' system via 4 BNC cables, namely I²S. The C.E.C. TL 2N also has a Masterclock input for those who have one. A nice feature is that you have control over upsampling the CD format, you can keep the CD format native at 16bit/44.1kHz, or you can choose to upsample it to 24bit/88.2kHz or 24bit/176.4kHz. This is a pleasant addition to adjust the sound to personal taste.

Sound : The C.E.C. TL 2N is a CD transport with a very refined and balanced sound. The music is reproduced neutrally, that is to say honestly. The 'live effect' is well present without a trace of harshness or effect-seeking. The sound is simply clean and clear and can be listened to for hours on end without any listening fatigue. Yet the C.E.C. TL 2N remains engaging and the sound does not become boring. This is simply a CD transport where the sound is right, and nothing more or less is done than necessary.

This C.E.C. TL 2N is in excellent condition and is supplied including the original packaging and accessories. Listening while enjoying a nice cup of coffee is possible by appointment, bring your favorite CDs!
