General : The Exogal Comet DAC is a very high-quality and compact D/A Converter. The designers and owners of Exogal are very experienced designers, the designer of the technical aspect of the Exogal Comet DAC has also designed for Wadia equipment including the Wadia 27, the Wadia 270 CD and the unique (at that time costing almost € 120.000,-) Wadia 790 Power DAC.

Technical : The Exogal Comet DAC is made by people who really know what they are doing, and you can see and hear that too. The Exogal Comet DAC uses an aluminum housing with a Plexiglas top plate, a neat appearance. At 29.2cm wide, 4.76cm high and 19cm deep, it is a compact device, which is also possible because the power supply is external. A major advantage of this is that you can further improve the sound of the Exogal Comet DAC by purchasing a better external power supply. The Exogal Comet DAC can convert PCM files up to 32bit/384kHz and also DSD files via the USB-B input up to DSD128. Due to the high-quality volume control in the Exogal Comet DAC, you can also connect it directly to power amplifiers. The Exogal Comet DAC has both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs.

This Exogal Comet D/A Converter is also equipped with a Farad Super3 external power supply and Farad Level 2 DC cable. The Farad Super3 PSU is also equipped with a Furutech Rhodium Inlet. This PSU and DC cable had a combined new price of € 850,- and provide a huge improvement in sound quality.
