Overview :

The new Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ powercord is the successor to the excellent LC-2 MK3 powercord. The LC-2 MK3+ is made with an entirely new copper formula, now made from pure OFHC copper. Fully shielded and equipped with premium connectors. This very high quality powercord is highly suitable for hi-fi and video components, and the Gigawatt Powerstrips and Powerconditioners also perform excellently with this cable.

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The distinction between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties and the shielding and possible application of Nano filters.

The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ consists of 6 solid core pure OFHC copper cables. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ powercord contains 2 x Phase, 2 x Neutral, 1 x Ground and 1 uninsulated tinned wire. The latter is for contact with the shielding foil over the entire length of the cable. This ground wire is connected at the Schuko connector, but not at the IEC connector. This is to prevent ground loops. Each conductor is 1.5mm2 in cross-section. The insulation of the LC-2 MK3+ is made of Polyethylene and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. The LC-2 MK3+ powercord is fully shielded with aluminum foil. The 2 + 2 bundles are again combined in a PVC insulation jacket for stability and vibration damping. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-2 MK3+ suitable for better Hi-fi and High End audio and Video installations. The connection plugs are the Gigawatt G-010G and G-030G connectors, made of pure OFC copper and protected with a gold coating layer.

Listening Experience :

The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ is clearly another step higher than the LC-1 MK3+ cable. The LC-2 MK3+ cable can carry more current and you hear that. Real good dynamics, combined with a pure sound character. The bass is tight, solid and very well defined. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ is the ideal mid-range powercord in the High End Audio world, and the sound difference compared to standard supplied cables is substantial. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ cable is recommended for all Audio components, including heavy power amplifiers.
