General: The Harbeth Super HL5 Plus is the successor to the Super HL5 Signature.

Technology: The Super HL5 Plus features entirely newly developed drivers and filter technology. The cabinet has also been updated. The cabinet of each Harbeth remains a combination of relatively light panels and heavy lead-bitumen damped panels which have very low resonance. Harbeth does not use super-stiff cabinets because, according to Harbeth, cabinet walls will always vibrate, and it's better to use a cabinet wall that vibrates at a low frequency rather than a high frequency. That makes sense. The main innovation is the new woofer, the new Radial 2 Bass Midwoofer. The 25mm tweeter and 20mm supertweeter are also new. The Harbeth Super HL5+ looks old school, but inside it is very modern and sounds absolutely excellent.
