Functionality : The Hifi Rose RS150b comes with several commonly used applications pre-installed. These include: Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Rose Tube (YouTube with music only). The Hifi Rose RS150b is also RoonReady and can therefore be placed behind a Roon Server as a player. These apps can be operated directly via the touchscreen on the front, but of course also via the HiFi Rose app called 'Rose Connect' on your phone or tablet. This way, the look of the display can be adjusted to your personal preferences. Via the HDMI-ARC connection you can connect the Hifi Rose RS150b directly to a television, which makes concerts from YouTube come truly to life. You can output videos up to 4K resolution to the television, at as much as 60 FPS. Thanks to the many digital inputs and outputs, the RS150b can also be used as a standalone server/streamer or as a D/A converter for, for example, a CD transport or Blu-ray player. Internet radio and podcasts can also be played through the Hifi Rose RS150b. Hifi Rose also makes a CD drive/ripper, the Hifi Rose RSA780, with which you can rip your CDs to add them to the optional internal SSD, or play the CDs directly.

Sound : The Hifi Rose RS150b is a clean-sounding streamer with a detailed, rich sound. The sound is clear, refined, and has a tight, firm bass response. The sound is nicely balanced and absolutely does not fall short of other streamers at the same price that don't even have a quarter of the connections and capabilities of the Hifi Rose RS150b.
