General : The RS250 is the little brother of the RS150. A compact yet powerful multimedia player from Korean Hifi Rose. A jack-of-all-trades, packed with features and a large 8.8 inch IPS touchscreen.

Technology : The first thing that stands out is the stylish design and the large touchscreen display on the front. The IPS technology of this screen ensures realistic color reproduction and a wide viewing angle, which means the display is easily readable from many different angles. Right next to the screen is a rotary knob for controlling the volume. The display of the Hifi Rose RS250 provides a luxury appearance, and so does the build quality and operation of the Hifi Rose RS250. Any beginner can use the Hifi Rose on the go, yet the software has a luxury feel. The Hifi Rose RS250 is multifunctional, so the Hifi Rose RS250 can be used as a Music Server, Music & Video (up to 4K) Streamer, DAC and Preamp. The Hifi Rose RS250 can be equipped with an SSD drive to store music, up to 4TB can be installed in a simple way. The Hifi Rose RS250 can also retrieve music from external network locations such as a NAS or NUC, and it is also possible to play music from an external USB storage location such as a Hard Drive or USB stick. The DAC used in the Hifi Rose RS250 is a high-quality DAC that uses ES9038 Q2M DAC chips. Functionality : The Hifi Rose RS250 comes with several commonly used applications pre-installed. The following applications are available : Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Rose Tube (YouTube with music only). The Hifi Rose RS250 is also Roon Ready and can therefore be placed behind a Roon Server as a player. These apps can be controlled directly via the touchscreen on the front, but of course also via the HiFi Rose app called 'Rose Connect' on your phone or tablet. You can also control the Hifi Rose RS250 with the supplied remote control. The display is fully customizable, you can have the display show multiple things. For example, you can fully dim the display, you can play YouTube videos from it, but you can also set the display to show VU-meters where you can choose the color yourself. This way, the appearance of the display can be adapted to your personal preferences. Via the HDMI-ARC connection, you can connect the Hifi Rose RS250 directly to a television, allowing concerts from YouTube to really come to life. You can output videos up to 4K resolution to the television at 60 FPS. Due to the many digital inputs and outputs, the RS250 can also be used as a standalone server/streamer or as a D/A Converter for, for example, a CD player or Blu Ray player. Internet radio and podcasts can also be played by the Hifi Rose RS250. Hifi Rose also makes a CD drive/ripper, the Hifi Rose RSA780, with which you can rip CDs to add them to the optional internal SSD, or you can play the CDs directly.
