Technical : The Magnepan MG 1.7 is a mid-size loudspeaker, suitable for both compact and large listening rooms. The technology has been reliably applied for years across all Magnepan models. The MG 1.7 features 1 diaphragm and is equipped with 2 separate circuits for bass/midrange and treble. The voice coil is an aluminum foil on a Kapton film, which guarantees a very long lifespan and optimal dynamics. Due to the absence of an enclosure, all Magnepans sound extremely pure, undistorted and open, and this Magnepan 1.7 is no exception. Since Magnepans radiate equally forward and backward, some distance from the rear wall is necessary. Use 60cm as a minimum.

Listening : The Magnepan MG 1.7 sounds grand, pure and very natural. With proper setup and a high-quality amplifier, the Magnepan 1.7 set sounds like a much more expensive loudspeaker. Even speakers costing 3 times as much struggle to keep up. Due to their character, Magnepans are not really suitable for heavy disco music, but all the more for genuine and honest music.
