Technical : The Nagra MPA is a 2 x 250 watt Mosfet power amplifier of very high quality. The construction is typical Nagra, made entirely from stable aluminum plates. The Nagra MPA is a Mosfet power amplifier and is set relatively high in Class A. Also noteworthy is that this Nagra MPA has a built-in Power Factor Correction module. This is in effect its own Power Conditioner. The Nagra MPA can be used as a desktop amplifier or a power amplifier. The MPA then stands upright. If you want to place the Nagra MPA horizontally, the Power/Mute/Off module can be rotated. The Nagra MPA is fully balanced in design and therefore has only a balanced input. The Nagra MPA has an automatic fan which keeps the operating temperature constant. The sound quality therefore always remains at the same very high level.

Listening : We placed the Nagra MPA alongside our Bricasti M15 and the Analog Domain M75P, and we must say that the Nagra MPA performs very strongly next to this duo. The Nagra MPA sounds dynamic, pure, open, stable and very fast. Also striking is the ease with which the Nagra MPA drives speakers. Connected to, for example, the Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3, it creates a wonderfully natural and infectious sound. The MPA on the Sonus Faber Guarneri means speed, transparency and precision and exceptionally beautiful bass reproduction. The Nagra MPA on the Magico A3 results in an excellent all-around performance for every music genre. Actually, the Nagra MPA performs simply excellently on everything we connect it to.
