General : The Pathos Inpol Heritage is a heavy integrated Class A amplifier, and a tribute to Pathos co-founder Gianni Borinato.

Technology : The Pathos Inpol Heritage is a completely newly developed integrated amplifier, building on Pathos' special Inpol technology. The Pathos Inpol Heritage is an 80 watt pure Class A amplifier, and is also fully balanced from input to output. It has become a very complete amplifier. The Pathos Inpol Heritage comes standard with 2 sets of balanced inputs and 4 unbalanced inputs. A preout is also available, both balanced and unbalanced. A double set of speaker terminals is also standard. The driver stage is fully tube-based, with 2 ECC803S tubes and 2 pieces of 6H30 tubes in the preamp. Both the preamp and output stage are fully configured in Class A. The volume control in the preamplifier is also special. Rather than using a potentiometer or an opamp, a fully relay-controlled ladder network is used. Via relays, the volume is set very precisely and without loss. Optionally, the Pathos Inpol Heritage can be equipped with a built-in DA Converter. The connections are already in place. The Pathos Inpol Heritage is a truly brilliantly built amplifier and acoustically it is a highlight of the Pathos range.

Sound : We connected the Pathos Inpol Heritage in our listening room to various speakers, including the Magico A3, and the result is fantastic. What an amplifier. The PIH has plenty of power and finesse. It is clearly audible that the Pathos Inpol Heritage is configured entirely in Class A, as the soundstage remains rock-solid stable, both at low and very high volumes. Bass reproduction is deep, solid and tight. The overall sound has a very slight but pleasant warmth. Not a tight digital reproduction but a smooth and very musical rendering of your favorite music. This Pathos Inpol Heritage is only one year old and is in absolute mint condition and is completely intact. The Pathos Inpol Heritage is ready for many years of musical enjoyment in your home.
