General: The largest model in the Twenty5 series from PMC Audio.

Technology: The PMC Audio Twenty5.26 is the only 3-way speaker in the Twenty5 series from PMC Audio. In this 3-way system you will find a 27mm dome tweeter and a very special 50mm soft dome midrange driver that handle the high and midrange frequencies. The combination of a dome tweeter and dome midrange driver ensures equal radiation of the high tones and midrange tones. This works extremely precisely and harmoniously together. In front of the tweeter and midrange driver is a protective metal cap, which has been developed to also optimize dispersion. For the bass, the PMC Audio Twenty5.26 has a 177mm paper woofer with cloth surround and a transmission line in the cabinet that runs out to a double port on the front of the speaker. The bass therefore extends incredibly deep, 28Hz to be precise. But without vented bass ports on the back, which makes placement easier. It also offers the advantage that it is not a sealed system and the amplifier does not struggle to drive the PMC Twenty5.26 at low frequencies. You can even keep the PMC Twenty5.26 under control with tube amplifiers. Ignore the figure of 86dB that indicates the efficiency; with its 8 Ohm impedance, the PMC Twenty5.26 works easily with virtually any amplifier. On the back you will find nice single wiring speaker connectors for spades or bananas, mounted on a nice chrome plate. No more hassle with bi-wire or tri-wire or the like. In terms of design, there are no gimmicks to be found. Everything looks nicely restyled and neat, finished with an eye for detail. This set is finished in what we consider the finest finish: Amarone Wood.
