Technical : The Revel Salon 2 is a technically highly advanced speaker, with all units built in-house. The Revel Salon 2 is a 4-way system and truly full range. The woofer section consists of 3 pieces of 8" Titanium Cone long-throw woofers, and is supported by a bass reflex system at the bottom. The important lower midrange is handled by a 6.5" Titanium Cone midrange driver. This unit has its own enclosure. The upper midrange is handled by a very fast 4" midrange/tweeter, also in its own enclosure. The high frequencies are handled by a true piece of engineering, the Revel Reference Beryllium tweeter which seamlessly extends to 45,000Hz. The bass and treble sections are adjustable, allowing you to adapt the Revel Salon 2 to your room acoustics. Because all units are made by Revel, they match perfectly with each other, and there is no audible difference between the different units. The cabinet is very solidly constructed from 9 layers of MDF, pressed in a mold, and weighs nearly 70kg net. All in all, the Revel Salon 2 is a technical masterpiece, but more importantly, the sound of this speaker is incredibly good.

Listening : Listening to the Revel Salon 2 is a true pleasure. What immediately stands out is how enormous the soundstage is and how effortlessly the Revel Salon 2 sounds. Completely stress-free. The enormous sound sphere is very refined from the deepest bass to the highest treble. The bass reproduction is spectacularly deep. The sound also completely separates from the speakers. The Revel Salon 2 sounds extremely homogeneous, nowhere peaky or emphasized. The efficiency is moderate, so you will need a robust amplifier for it. We recommend a minimum 2 x 100 watt transistor amplifier of very high quality. The Revel Salon 2 is a speaker for life.
