Technology : All Rogue Audio amplifiers are hand-designed, built and tested in America, guaranteeing the quality of their products. The Sphinx 3 is the result of Rogue's expertise combining the flexibility of tubes with the grip and power of Class D power amplification. The Sphinx 3 features 12AU7 tubes in the preamp stage which drive the Hypex Class D power amp modules. These modules deliver 2 x 100 Watts at 8 Ohm and 2 x 200 Watts at 4 Ohm, more than sufficient for virtually any listening situation. The entire unit is powered by a linear power supply with robust toroidal transformer. There are a total of 4 RCA inputs, of which 1 is a phono input. This is suitable for both MM and MC cartridges, adjustable via switches on the circuit board. There are also 2 RCA outputs, one fixed and one variable output.
