General : The Sonus Faber Amati Tradition is the flagship model of the Homage series. We are familiar with all Sonus Faber Amati models, but this Tradition is by far the best sounding.

Technology : For the new Sonus Faber Amati Tradition, several new techniques have been developed, and new speaker drivers have been designed and built. The cabinet is made from resonance-free layered wood and is truly beautifully finished. A thick layer of wood, Wenge, and then lacquered ten times. Then polished. You cannot get more beautiful than this. In creating the speaker drivers for the Sonus Faber Amati Tradition, Sonus Faber has chosen drivers made from natural materials. The bass units are a lightweight sandwich cone with paper and a foam core. Super fast, stiff and without annoying resonances. The midrange driver is a neodymium-driven cone, also made of multiple layers of foam and paper. The tweeter is a large (28mm) silk dome with an Arrow Point. The back pressure chamber at the rear is milled from a solid block of wood. Both the bass units as well as the midrange and tweeter are among the most natural-sounding drivers available. The bass section is supported by a very pure Stealth Ultra Flex bass port. Not a resonating port, but a quiet and very deeply tuned bass port. The top and bottom of the cabinet are made from a milled piece of aluminum from the CNC machine, and this is then inlaid with beautiful solid Wenge wood. Technically very advanced and this has its effect on the excellent sound quality of this Sonus Faber Amati Tradition.

Listening : Listening to Sonus Faber speakers is always a musical pleasure. Yet something has changed now. Sonus Faber speakers always sounded warm and refined, and not really uptempo and dynamic. How different is this new Amati. The bass is now tight and deep, and no longer has bass reflex disadvantages. The treble is pure, detailed and has body. Fortunately, the full and pleasant sound of Sonus Faber has been preserved, it's just now more precise.
