Technical : The YG Acoustics Kipod 2 Studio Signature is the successor to the YG Kipod speaker. It is a semi-active system with several very special properties. The system consists of the Kipod 2 Signature compact speaker and the Studio Signature Subwoofer. The Kipod 2 is entirely passive and the Studio subwoofer is active and fully adjustable. YG Acoustics is one of the most, if not the most, innovative speaker manufacturers. Take the cabinet. It is made from heavy and thick aluminum plates. Aircraft quality, so stress-free plates. The cabinet is compact but also very heavy, and beautifully finished. The drivers are even more special. The YG Kipod 2 Studio Signature features a Billetcore woofer and midrange driver. The cone of these drivers is made from a single, solid and stress-free aluminum block. A video on Youtube shows how this is done. These cones are extremely thin and light, yet super rigid. YG is the only manufacturer in the world that does this. The tweeter is a silk dome with ForgeCore technology, where the entire tweeter motor comes from the CNC milling machine. The filter technology is also YG's own. Dual Coherent technology with in-house wound coils, and Toroair inductors to eliminate crosstalk.
